May31 PLANNING - The Need for Skateparks

Interesting NRPA Recommendations for Park Facilities

It’s Time To Add Skateparks!

  • The current US population is approximately 294,000,000 people
  • If one skatepark is needed for every 20,000 people, there should be 14,700 skateparks
  • Currently there are only an estimated 3000 skateparks in the US, so this data clearly supports the need for more skateparks to be built
