Since most California cities have little or no experience in addressing these types of issues, the California Skate Park Coalition was developed as a regional forum for identifying concerns, sharing ideas, and developing solutions related to the design, construction, and operation of municipal skateparks. Website founder, Dick Guthrie continues to be an excellent educator for any community going through the skatepark process (including those outside of California).
